Welcome back everybody craft gas number 84 were gonna do another we're going to give another try of the dictation now there were some that had some issues I don't know um I don't wanna see following instructions but here's the deal if I put the dictation on there it's going to be in the show notes so whatever podcast app you're using you need to go there click on the podcast notes to show details whatever it's called and then you'll be able to follow along with the written word as as dictated by Bill Gates and Bill Gates will be or whoever his minions are at this point they will be scribing all of this with no punctuation and less I say. St end of the sentence. And the the dictation is borderline crap but there are a lot of words that are actually picked up so for those that are hearing impaired and following along I do think this is a really good idea um if maybe you don't have the best headphones maybe your hearing is actually impaired I've got documented hearing loss this is not something I'm making lietuv during my eight years with uncle Sam's misguided children Um there were there were a plenty of things that um caused a well my hearing was not as good because they take it everybody entering the military has taken hearing test when they go in and when they go out and the difference between when I went in and when I went out or when I left um there was a significant Delta there was significant hearing loss that's what they classified as significant Over the course of a lifetime how significant is significant I don't know depends on the the length of one's lifetime
I don't know it was enough to where the government decided to classify it as significant so when I add the dictation to I'm added to the podcast it's not directly on the podcast it's on the website you have to go there there's a link in every show from the podcast back over to the explicit episode from the podcast in anybody that wants to follow along or needs to follow along can I'm trying to expound upon I want to provide something to everyone even those that are hearing impaired so anyway I'm giving it a shot I'm I'm trying obviously well I don't see obviously it may not be obvious to everyone there are there are challenges that many of us face or the individuals face that many of us are not aware of one would assume that just because someone looks normal that they are normal but you don't know they may not be able to speak they many up may not be able to hear they may not be able to see as well these are all challenges did many of us in society face there could be mental issues dead or unknown I may look normal on the outside may look like a normal middle aged dude except I'm not having the midlife crisis 'cause I'm not driving the Corvette or the whatever but there may be issues that I'm facing so other people shouldn't assume that are normal just like I'm not going to assume that you're weird or normal or different I'm just going to go on the premise that we're all people we all have different issues and we all face them in different ways I'm just trying to provide on an audio platform a means for someone there is audibly challenged if that's the right term to be able to get something out of this haven't done any research I don't know the podcast the platform here I'm going to go out on a really really thin limb and say this is for an audio show but if I can provide an audio show for the audio challenged that would be a game changer so let me know what you think the the um I'm really not 100% pleased with the dictation method here um it could be it could partially be me on the other hand it could be the program that I'm using there was a really long pause there that for those rating along just probably won't get you're not going to get the size you're not going to get the laughters let's go lol emoji but I'm hoping that it's better than nothing I really want this to be for everyone
how do you do an audio show for everyone well first of all you have to you have to think about others that can't necessarily listen to an audio show anyway I'm hope I'm getting through too other people uh if if this is something if the message that I was trying to get across before if you know someone that has an audio issue did had trouble hearing or the audio levels weren't just right let him know about the show because I'm I'm pretty sure that I'm going to include um and less and less I hear back going um Hayward the deaf people and we're not listening to your show or ringing in your comments but this is another service that I would like to provide to those just like myself that have have damaged hearing I think it would provide benefit I could be wrong wouldn't be the first time anyway um some of the things that I really wanted to talk to you guys about you guys ever watch Yellowstone it's on a paramount TV Kevin Costner and the guys tried to show his junk in more movies than Well every movies ever been in Or TV show anyway um watching watching the the most recent episode tonight is August night is I'm recording this there was a strange juxtaposition that I realized on on the show she got a bunch of Cowboys out in Montana Wyoming where they are Montana yeah and you also have the modern day stock market sell off trying to buy acquisitions mergers that kind of thing it was it was a it was a strange dichotomy um they kind of came to mind where old meets new And I guess it's really just is kind of where we are in society we have some of the old values and some of the new values and where did the meat where they crossover
on the show tonight uh one of the horses that they had he was a good bucking horse but he wasn't good enough to be a bucking horse So what they ended up doing spoiler alert if you haven't watched it yet they end up turning out to pasture on a some type of wildlife ranch preserve whatever it was they got me thinking about my dogs well only have one dog the other dog is haley's dog
in thinking about the way that we deal with animals How I don't know the again we're dealing with modern ish technology here with the dictation and again error and it popped in there and quit so we're we're good for about 1300 words before it stops apparently anyway back to back to the animals one of the things I realize and I told you I'm not I'm not a dog dad my dogs are not my kids however they animals are or can be a part of our family our tribe our tribes as we have them those are unique to each of us and when I went out to big bend and nearly froze to death one of the things that kept me alive and kept Gustav alive was each other that dog and I were cuddled up in a tent but well below freezing temperatures and it kept us alive now in my mind we have a certain kind of bond like you saved my life I saved yours now in his little dog mind I don't know if he really recognizes that or not on In the same breath I mean If I had to eat him I would I put a bullet in his head and I would eat him there's not a lot of meat on him 'cause he burns off a lot of calories he's not the big Husky dog go back to some of the Canned Heat episodes where we were jokingly talking about you know the animals around us and what we do to survive
no my dog I just saw on the screen it said no my dog when I said now my dog yeah and watching the texture rushing here I'm not editing any of the dictation that comes out don't for those of you that are hearing impaired that are reading along here I apologize for Bill Gates and his company I want you to remember this if his company can't get this right do you really think the desk guide that you should be listening to as far as healthcare goes I'm just saying just an observation Anyway so the the animals the dogs what do they mean to us we should be compassionate as as humans where we're at the top of the food chain We shouldn't have our dogs eating us again we've got opposable thumbs
if your dog is eating you then **** has really really really gone sideways and I just know I just notice that um on 100 dictation and this is funny as **** because it will not write the word **** it just puts for astrex which is funny so I'm going to spell it out if things have gone to S H I T then We're in a world of hurt so I found a way to get around the algorithms Speaking of algorithms and OK yeah I'm I'm going to jump down there over there around there somewhere I'm gonna jump somewhere I don't know exactly where that is other than YouTube
now I uploaded well first of all I had to convert a VHS video that I retrieved from my father's house which I may have watched once I may not have ever watched I really don't recall I have watched it a number of times in the video conversion process in order to get it onto YouTube two day ring core recruit graduation Delta company September 18th 1992 bunch of hard charging young leathernecks became Marines that day and the video was much longer than what I recall the actual ceremony yeah there were some pomp and circumstance before and after the added to it but not that much again I was I don't know I was out there on the parade deck marine core recruit Depot MCRD San Diego September 18th 1992 that that day it kind of I don't know I mean It's this is kind of like the the 4th of July Independence Day question that I posed a month ago where the day I went to boot camp my life changed the day I graduated bootcamp my life changed again But it was that initial day Bon Set you could go back a year before that where I decided to join uncle Sam's misguided children So what was the actual day of birth into my marine core life it's up for grabs I remember I remember the day that I put my feet on the yellow footsteps a lot more then the day that I walked off of them every day in our lives is a little bit different in every day is about choices but for those three months
those three long months and then The month after that of marine combat training I I remember a number of days in situations in there over my past 46 years of life plus those four months and then following onto Redstone Arsenal for another two months just about six months of my life out of 46 years
Those six months I remember them like they were yesterday I don't necessarily remember yesterday but I remember those six months like they were is just something that happens as we get older I don't know is this something that happens to our minds I don't know I would like your input and your feedback just out of curiosity what do you recall when do you recall it I've told you stories of when I was a boy when I was a teenager there have been stories did I have told as a young man my 20s and 30s and then There was a time when Everything just kind of went away now I I don't know if that's an age thing or if it's some I don't know I would like your opinion what do you think
when when was it in your life that you were called and obviously there are going to be certain circumstances that are different amongst all of us there were some there were some traumatic times that we had in our lives regardless of how old we are or young we are where certain things are blocked out there are certain travesties that occur to different people but in a general sense of the rule is there a point in time where you stopped remembering things where your mind kinda went numb are there certain things that you wish you remembered that you have to search for this is part of the mental journey that that we're on An I say that we are on I'm hosting the show but really we're all in this together I would like your feedback not just for for me but so that I can share it with the other people are there times in our lives where we blocked out things we can't remember things we need to know something from that point obviously I mean if you're like two or three years old you may not remember it very young in our lives but think about it as or between Whenever you're first impressionable memory wise through today and everything in between there are you gonna remember everything probably not I don't there are some really good times that I do remember and I'm glad that I do remember the good times there are some bad times that I remember and I'm thankful for those as well because those are part of who made me who I am today both the good and the bad I'm just curious are there what's the point in our life where we stop remembering
I've probably rambled on it a long enough I hope you have a um a good Monday if your or Tuesday Wednesday Wednesday hump day MMM yo what up my camera you know little little hump day joke there for you what every day listen to this give me your feedback I I really would appreciate it um I'm trying to get better and I'm trying to help others defined their center their focus I'm trying to find my own center of focus on a daily basis so if as a community as a tribe we can do this together that'd be great and with that OK Ciao on the flip side
